Perseverance or Obstinacy?

The difference between perseverance and obstinacy is that one often comes from a strong will, and the other from a strong won’t. ~ Henry Ward Beecher

Sometimes it takes both to succeed in life: the will to go on and the will to not go in certain directions.

  • If they balance you out like yin and yang, you’ve got it made like a farmer with a cooperative donkey.
  • If they disagree with one another, you’ll go around in circles and never get anywhere. Like a dog chasing it’s own tail, you’ll never be able to move forward.

Be more like a mindful donkey, not a tunnel-vision doggy. While they may be cute to watch, those pups don’t get very far and as many jokes as there are about them, you’ve got to admire the hard working donkey.
